The platform

Forecast load, schedule dispatch with one engine

eZap connects to metering infrastructure and produces day-ahead and intraday dispatch schedules your team can act on.

Forecasting engine

Feeder demand forecasts at 15-minute resolution

eZap combines network metering and weather feeds. It trains a demand model for each feeder using historical load, then projects demand at 15-minute intervals for up to 72 hours.

Results show a probabilistic demand curve rather than one point. P10, P50, and P90 bands are provided for every interval, helping procurement size reserves against the network's actual risk tolerance.

  • 24 to 72-hour rolling horizon
  • P10, P50, P90 bands per forecast interval
  • Responds to seasonal and event-driven shifts
  • Per-feeder model, no network aggregate
Dispatch scheduler

Forecast to execution-ready schedule

The scheduler turns the P50 forecast into a cost-ranked generation plan: units to call, MW output, and timing. It sends the result to your operator console or SCADA system.

Operators see hourly unit assignments, reserve margin against the forecast band, and risk intervals flagged when P90 demand nears contracted capacity.

  • Least-cost dispatch by interval
  • Reserve margin and risk flags
  • Export to console or SCADA
  • Intraday updates every 15 minutes
Integrations

Fits your existing grid infrastructure

eZap uses standard grid protocols and operator platforms, with no new hardware required.

SCADA and DMS Connectivity

REST API and MQTT transport. Standard data contracts support IEC 61968 and IEC 61970 CIM. Works with most commercial EMS platforms without custom middleware.

Weather Data Feeds

Takes ECMWF and Copernicus-compatible forecasts, including temperature, wind, cloud cover, and solar irradiance by feeder zone. Grid resolution is configurable.

Smart Meter Aggregation

Receives aggregated smart-meter data at 15-minute or hourly intervals. Supports Modbus TCP bridges for legacy meters alongside modern AMI data.

Export Formats

Forecast and dispatch outputs can be delivered as JSON through API, CSV download, or direct push to operator console endpoints. Historical accuracy reports export monthly.

EU data centers host grid operational data

eZap handles real distribution grid metering data. Customer data is hosted in EU data centers, encrypted in transit and at rest, and never used to train models across customer accounts. eZap acts as a GDPR data processor, with a data processing agreement available for all pilot agreements.
